  7. Voice Clock! is a Microsoft Windows program whose purpose is to announce the
  8. time of day at 1 minute, 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour intervals, using 
  9. digitized human speech reproduced through a sound card or by using Microsoft's 
  10. Speaker Driver for 286 - 486 computers.  The program will function in 
  11. all Windows modes: real, standard, or enhanced.

  24. INSTALLATION:
  25.  
  26. To install the program, simply copy all files into the same directory.
  27. Start the program as you would any other windows program (i.e. create
  28. a program item in Program Manager, or select File/Run from the Program 
  29. Manager menu and type VCLOCK.EXE preceded with the full pathname).

  31. NOTE: All previous Voice Clock 1.0 and 2.0 series version files should 
  32. be deleted.

  34. VOICE QUALITY:
  35.  
  36. Voice quality is dependant of your computer system.  Although, Microsofts'
  37. Speaker Driver works well with most 386's and 486's; there's no
  38. substitute for a sound card.
  39.  
  40. This product was developed on a 486DX-25, 8mb RAM, and SoundBlaster Pro.

  42. CLOCK OPTIONS:
  43.  
  44. Voice Clock has four desktop modes: 
  45.  
  46.     (1) TITLE BAR WINDOW - In this mode the time is displayed in 
  47.         the current title window. The announcement interval may be set 
  48.         to 1, 15, 30 or hour, by default it is NONE. 
  49.  
  50.     (2) DESKTOP CLOCK - When set, a small window clock will appear. Time 
  51.         will announced based on system settings. 
  52.  
  53.     (3) SYSTEM RESOURCE - Configurable clock that can display time, date as
  54.         well as system resources in any font or size from 6pts to 24pts.
  55.  
  56.     (4) NONE- No clock present-time will still announce if system settings
  57.         are set.

  59. When the program is first started, a logo banner will appear for about 10 
  60. seconds. The banner will disappear and the clock will appear. When first 
  61. installed a clock will now appear which can be used to change preferences.  
  62. At this point, Voice Clock is running with default settings. Preference can  
  63. set either by clicking on the clock icon or by selecting the lef mouse button
  64. when cursor is over the selected clock. Right button is used to move the 
  65. clock to a desired area.
